- Dental ExaminationWhether you’re visiting Fallston Dental Care for a routine examination and cleaning, restorative or cosmetic dental services, or orthodontic treatment – you can expect exceptional care. Our dentists stay up to date on the latest advancements in preventive dental care and treatments, and we’re committed to helping patients achieve their best oral health.
- X-raysDental X-rays help us see the condition of your teeth, roots, jaw and facial bones. We use digital radiography, which produces enhanced images with 50 to 70 % less radiation.
- Oral Cancer ScreeningWe believe prevention should be the primary focus of dental care. A thorough dental exam every six months is the best way to stay healthy. During your dental exam, we’ll ask about your health and any concerns you may have. Then we’ll do a thorough cleaning and polishing, keeping your comfort in mind. Next, we’ll do a cancer screening, examine your teeth and gums to look for any problems like decay, infection or swelling. X-rays will help us see any concerns between your teeth and below your gum line. Then we’ll tell you the results and provide advice for keeping your teeth and mouth healthy until your next visit.
- Teeth CleaningWe’ve been serving families since 1987 and are proud of our reputation for state-of-the-art, compassionate care, from routine cleanings and exams to cosmetic procedures and advanced specialty dentistry...
- Fluoride Treatment
- Dental SealantsDuring your exam we may recommend sealant. Sealants are a thin, protective coating of material specially designed to be applied to the biting surface of molars. Sealant helps protect molars from decay and lasts for many years.
- FillingsSilver amalgam: Due to an ongoing controversy about the safety of the mercury used in silver amalgam fillings, and our commitment to more natural health remedies, Fallston Dental Care has decided not to restore teeth with this type of material.
- VeneersThe indirect technique takes two appointments because your veneers will be fabricated at a dental laboratory. At your first appointment, we’ll polish and/or shape your teeth, take impressions and apply a temporary covering, if necessary. In two to three weeks, when your custom veneers arrive from the laboratory, the temporary coverings will be removed and the new veneers will be bonded to your teeth. New techniques have now allowed us to either remove very little tooth structure, or in some cases, no reduction is necessary at all.
- CrownsIf you need a crown, you’ll visit us for two appointments. At the first, we’ll remove any areas of decay and shape the tooth to accept the crown. We’ll also take an impression of the tooth and place a temporary crown. At your next visit, we will cement your permanent crown – made of high-strength porcelain over gold alloy, ceramic or gold – in place.
- BridgesIf you’ve lost a tooth or several teeth, or have had them extracted, a dental bridge can fill the gap with false teeth, supported by crowns placed over your natural teeth or implants. Bridges can help restore your smile, prevent other teeth from shifting, preserve your bite and help you to speak and chew naturally.
- Dental Bonding
- Restorative DentistryIf you find yourself hiding your smile or eating on only one side of your mouth because of pain or missing or chipped teeth, restorative dental procedures can help.
- Root Canal TreatmentIf you’ve had deep decay, repeated dental procedures, large fillings, a crack or chip, or trauma affecting a tooth, the dental pulp – made up of nerves and blood vessels – may be damaged or infected. Signs include a severe toothache, prolonged sensitivity, tooth discoloration and/or gum swelling. Bacteria and damaged pulp remnants can lead to an abscess – a pus-filled pocket that forms at the end of a tooth’s root; more widespread infection; swelling of the face, neck or head; bone loss and other complications. To prevent these problems, your doctor can perform root canal treatment.
- DenturesIf you’ve lost some or all of your natural teeth from gum disease, tooth decay or trauma, dentures can improve your appearance and your health. Well-fitting dentures can make eating and speaking easier, fill out your facial appearance and make you feel more confident.
- Dental ImplantsIf you’re looking for a permanent solution for missing teeth that feels and functions like a natural tooth, dental implants may be right for you. As a leading provider for dental implants in the area, we can get you smiling again in no time! Dental implants can...
- OrthodonticsIf you, your child or teen has crowded or crooked teeth, gaps or spaces, or top teeth that don’t align with the bottom teeth, orthodontics can help. Our orthodontic specialists are right here in our office and offer the most current treatments available, including alternatives to traditional braces, like Invisalign
- Invisalign OrthodonticsAt Fallston Dental Care, we use the Invisalign® system for patients who would benefit from clear aligners. Each tray is worn for approximately two weeks, and you’ll receive three to four sets at a time. We’ll check your progress at appointments every six to eight weeks. To learn more about Invisalign®, visit invisalign.com.
- BracesFor this traditional orthodontic treatment, metal brackets are bonded to your teeth and connected by wire. Your doctor periodically tightens this wire so pressure will gradually straighten your teeth and align your jaw. Metal braces are the most effective treatment for severe overcrowding of teeth.
- Teeth WhiteningWe offer passive tray whitening/bleaching in our office. This procedure involves taking impressions of the mouth and making custom fit, flexible, trays for your teeth. These trays are then loaded with a professional strength gel which surrounds the teeth and lightens them according to your schedule. This procedure works amazingly well in most cases, although patient compliance and the type of stain will affect results. Some stains, such as those caused by tetracycline, are better treated with other options, such as veneers.
- Cosmetic DentistryIf you are self-conscious about how your teeth look, cosmetic dental services can brighten your smile and boost your confidence. We provide state-of-the-art cosmetic dentistry that corrects imperfections and delivers whiter, brighter teeth.
