Reviews
I was diagnosed with a right frozen shoulder in Oct and underwent a full course of PT at Center for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, Fairfax. They helped me restore my shoulder function to normal; Pradeep, Chris, Jeane and Ramzi (5*) were excellent in putting me through the paces and teaching me to do the exercises at home. Without their motivation & encouragement, I would not be able to do my tasks. Many Thanks for their perseverance and diligence. Clinic atmosphere was very friendly!Indu Dhanjal, Centreville

When I, as a patient, ask how the doctor knows that the ligaments in my ankle are just pulled and not partially torn, the answer coming from my MD's mouth should not just be "Because I told you they weren't." This was just one of the many curt comments out of Dr. Davis's mouth during my visit. I am not an idiot, infact I am also a healthcare provider, so to talk down to me throughout this visit was not only an insult to me as a patient - it also made me ashamed to know that there were people in the field who thought it was okay to act like that. When the PA came in to give me crutches I asked him if the other MD in the practice was any nicer. He paused, a long pause that was enough of an answer for me, and then said that the other MD was nice too. If you're not good at the one thing you do every day (patient care) how am I supposed to trust that you're good at the other things you say you're good at. I hope this review saves someone from making the same mistake I did.
Leftt Rotator Cuff surgery in 2005, right knee miniscus surgery in 2008, scheduled for right Rotator Cuff surgery in 2007 all have allowed me to continue riding my Goldwing motorcycle (picture is on the Skyline Drive 7/12/07). Dr. Chandra is a brilliant surgeon with a professional bedside manner. His staff is extremely friendly, helpfull and knowledgable. I am lucky to be their patient.
The best part of the experience is the honesty of Dr. Chandra and his staff. I had arthroscopic knee surgery and I had made reservations to backpack the Grand Canyon three months after my surgery. Immediately his expert staff of physical therapist had me in PT with my goal in mind. Not only did I backpacked the entire two trails (South Kaybob & Bright Angle trails) but later backpacked parts of the Appalachian Trail a few weeks after completing my goals in the Grand Canyon. With the combination of Dr. Chandra's surgery on my knee and the PT at his office I am fully recovered and just as active as ever. Last month (June 2007) I had entered in the Senior Olympics National 5K Racewalk representing the state of Virginia. I had no problems with my knee since and anyone that needs this kind of operation should and must follow through with the complete recommended physical therapy. I have and still recommend Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine highly.
