This restaurant has all the right ingredients for a really fine dining experience (view, space, food) but it lacks service. I am big on service and one thing I have found with many of the restaurants in Fallbrook is that the service is really lacking. When you have to consistently ask for an appetizer plate after the appetizers arrive and you don't get plates for 5-10 minutes after that, I call that poor. Also there is a foul smell in most of the restaurant perhaps a problem with the septic tank? I would really like to see this restaurant and resort succeed but they need to ratchet up the quality of food, service and ambience of Aquaterra. It is a truly lovely setting but you can't appreciate it when you are constantly asking for service.
