I bought a propane fireplace from Better Homes last fall. The salesperson was helpful enough all the way through getting my cash. On the day of the installation, the crew came out and installed the unit. The coordination with the company installing the Propane tank was a bit off, so the install of the fireplace was completed at the same time the propane tank guys came. The installers leave, while the propane tank guys do their measurements. Of course after about an hour, they identified a leak in the unit. Now the installers are gone and the propane guys end up opening the fireplace back up and fixing the leak. You'd think if a customer has just given you 5000 dollars, that you'd make sure they were working and satisfied. Not the case here. Haven't heard from them since the day of the install. If it were my company, after someone just gave me 5k, I'd call them a day or two later and ask how they were enjoying the unit and if they were satisfied. Nope. Not here. Poor Service

I would not recommend this merchant. From the start their salesman had lied to us stating they did not carry electric fireplaces. I found out later on, upon speaking to the owner Peter Stillanto Sr. that they do carry electric fireplaces and then realized I was lied to by the salesman so he could receive a bigger commission. The gas fireplace cost over $4,200.00 and the electric fireplace was just around $2,100. Their gas fireplace has exploded in my home several times. Nearly injuring my 4 year old and I. Their product are unreliable and very unsafe. Their installations are negligent. Their installer used wrong connections and put cardboard inside my unit. They caused a gas leak more than once. They replaced the unit and I had another explosion. It exploded four times in my home, twice with us, twice with the installer. They couldn't guarantee that this unit would not explode again. I cant explain how frightening the explosions are, it creates a large gas fireball inside the un
