- DUI/DWIBATH: On April 14 police responding to a vehicle crash on North Hametown Road found a vehicle in a ditch with the driver behind the steering wheel and open beer cans inside the vehicle and strewn around the accident scene. The driver was transported to a hospital, where he refused to provide a urine sample for a BAC test, and was charged with DUI.

- Drug CrimesOfficers responding to reports of shots fired on Hoye Avenue April 18 found three people running into a house. Police spoke to a man and woman standing beside a vehicle who stated they heard no gunshots. Police attempted to stop the driver of the vehicle, which sped away, and eventually stopped it on Copley Road. The same man and woman they interviewed earlier were found in the vehicle, along with narcotics. The woman surrendered methamphetamine and a drug pipe and police found ammunition for an automatic weapon in the vehicle. The man admitted he lied about hearing shots at the first location, but stated he did not know who fired them, and the woman admitted she drove two men who had firearms to a Copley Road house. She was charged with drug possession and taken to the Summit County Jail on two warrants and the vehicle was towed.

- MurderOn April 19 police responding to a shooting on Timber Trail found a man with a gunshot wound in the parking lot. He was rushed to a hospital, where he later died of his injuries. Police determined he arrived at the location to make a food delivery, following an altercation with two men in the Highland Square area 30 minutes earlier. Police arrested the two men on Tyler Street several hours later, charged them with assault and took them to the Jail. The charge was later upgraded to murder.
