The Fairfield Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency that has a staff of more than 60 sworn officers. The department operates an investigations unit that also conducts narcotics investigations. It participates in the worldwide drug prevention program, Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.). The Fairfield Police Department provides education on the dangers of tobacco, alcohol, marijuana and inhalants and about the ways to resist peer pressure for children. The department offers the DARE program to all fifth-grade students in the city. The Fairfield Police Department has several specialized units, such as special response, K-9, crime scene investigators, school liaison and resource officers, police student alliance program and community policing teams. The department is located in Fairfield, Ohio.
