Timberframing is a craft created hundreds of years ago. It’s a technique that requires the use of heavy timbers joined in a traditional fashion with mortise and tenon joinery held with hardwood pegs. Joinery is constructed using a wide variety of hand tools and some modern hand held powertools. All the work produced in my shop is crafted with strict tolerances and precise cutting. By having a timber-framed building you create a open floor plan. Along with an open feeling to your rooms, all the timbers are exposed to the inside showing the handcrafted work.
