- Dental ExaminationDental anxiety is a common experience, especially in children. At Kids First, we want every child to feel comfortable receiving the care they need. Sedation dentistry helps people of all ages relax and have a positive experience while receiving routine dental exams, orthodontic exams, and other dental treatments.

- Fluoride TreatmentMy daughter has been going to Kids First Fairfield location since she was one, and it has always been a wonderful experience, surprisingly at first! I myself am not a huge fan of going to the dentist, and I didn't want my child to be! Kids First has always made her experience comfortable, and the office atmosphere makes it even more appealing for her! While they're examining/cleaning her teeth, she's joking around and inquiring about how many stickers, golden tokens etc. she will be receiving after her fluoride treatment! This week we had our first visit at the Norwalk location with Dr. Jen (a familiar face from Fairfield office) and her fabulous staff, and my daughter's visit was just as rewarding as her previous visits in Fairfield. I would, without a doubt highly recommend this practice!
- Dental SealantsProtective dental sealants guard your child's back teeth by forming a barrier over the depressions and grooves of premolars and molars, keeping out bacteria and food particles that cause decay. Studies show that 88% of cavities in American school-aged children are caused by food and bacteria being caught in rear molars.
- CrownsIf a permanent tooth is completely knocked out, be sure to keep it moist at all times, and handle it as little as possible. Pick the tooth up by the crown, not the root. Never scrub or remove any tissue. Next, try to place the tooth back in the socket without touching the root. If this is too painful, you can place it between your cheek and gums. If this is too painful, try a container of milk or water. The key is to prevent the tooth from drying out. Once you have taken the proper precautions, call Kids First immediately to schedule an emergency appointment.
- Restorative DentistryWhile our office emphasizes prevention first and foremost, sometimes restorative dentistry (such as fillings) are necessary to preserve your child's smile!
- Oral SurgeryUsed primarily in oral surgery, this sedation dentistry option will put your child completely under anesthesia, ensuring they are entirely unaware of the procedure. This type of sedation is typically used if your child has to have extensive oral surgery or their wisdom teeth removed.
