Town Hall is a part of the Town of Fairfield Connecticut. The town has a population of more than 58,000 residents. It operates public works, purchasing, parks and recreation, and senior and social services departments. The town also manages the Fairfield Public Library, which offers access to a variety of e-newsletters, books and DVDs, as well as has a nonprofit organization, the Friends of the Library. Its fire department serves the residents of Southport, Stratfield and Greenfield Hill in Connecticut and handles emergency medical calls. The town additionally manages the Fairfield Police Department, which operates public affairs and field and support services bureaus.
