- Primary CareMedical guidelines recommend both men and women have regular Colonoscopies beginning at age 50 (or at age 40 if there is a family history of colon cancer) to identify and remove any pre-cancerous polyps that may be present years before cancer even develops. CT Virtual Colonoscopy is a safe and reliable screening alternative for patients that cannot or choose not to undergo conventional screening. It may be used to aid in the early detection of colon cancer. For more information on colon cancer ask your primary care provider or visit the American Cancer Society website.
- ColonoscopyYou will be given detailed prep instructions before your Virtual Colonoscopy. These instructions must be followed the day before your Virtual Colonoscopy, much like those you would need to follow for a Traditional Colonoscopy, including a diet of clear liquids and a laxative to cleanse your colon.Â

- UltrasoundComplete Breast Ultrasound Screening is performed in conjunction with a Screening Mammogram to help uncover cancer that may be hidden in women with dense breasts.
- MRIThe Abbreviated Breast MRI scan is best suited for women with an average to intermediate risk of breast cancer, (<20%). For women that are more high risk for breast cancer (>20%), it is recommended that they are screened with the standard breast MRI.
- RadiologyDuring a Screening Mammogram, at least two views are obtained of each breast using very low X-ray exposure. Utilizing the latest technology, Fairfax Radiology offers the highest quality digital imaging process, providing you and your physician a convenient and complete breast imaging experience—as well as peace of mind.
- X-Rays
- Nuclear MedicineFrom traditional Ultrasounds and X-rays to specialized Pediatric Imaging Studies and Nuclear Medicine Services, we offer a range of screenings, diagnostic tests and procedures for every need.
- MammographyOverlapping breast tissue on a traditional 2D Mammogram can obscure or mimic suspicious findings. Breast Tomosynthesis/3D captures multiple images of the breast from different angles, allowing our Radiologists to examine the breast tissue one thin layer at a time—providing clearer visibility of the breast tissue and eliminating obscured or misrepresented findings that may occur with standard 2D Mammography. This leads to more accurate results, fewer callbacks for extra views and greater peace of mind.
- Computed TomographyA Calcium Score is a type of noninvasive screening test that uses Computed Tomography (CT Scan) to help determine if you are at increased risk for a heart attack—even if you have no symptoms of coronary disease.
