For over 21 years, The Blue Iguana has been a fixture here in Fairfax, Virginia. One of the first of the new school of Chef driven restaurants, The Blue Iguana was finally sold by it's first owners, whom have retired, to veteran Clifton & Nargiza Wilcox in August of 2013. Since 2013 a lot of great changes were made. We strive to give every guest the best experience at Blue Iguana. Definitely a cut above the rest with an eclectic menu and superlative service. For anyone interested in good food at reasonable prices, give Blue Iguana a try.

At first I was irritated by the wait, not to be seated but on the server to even acknowledge us, but then, the food... mouth watering delicious! Unbelievably good. Perfect temp. cooked perfectly and the portion, of course, was perfect! Highly recommend.
I've been to Blue Iguana many times over that last 10+ years, usually for dinner. The food better than average, certainly better than any franchise establishment in the area. Service is also always better than nearby places. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The bar is a completely different experience than the dining room -- way too loud and smoky that we rush into the dining room from the front desk before were covered with cigarette smoke! Overall one of my favorite restaurants in the area and definitely recommend to everyone.
