Founded in 1972, Art & Visual Technology offers bachelor s and master s degrees in painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, interdisciplinary arts, graphic information designing, photography and digital arts. Its facilities include art galleries, studios, shops, and lecture halls and classrooms. The institute s photography courses include large-format, digital and documentary photography. Art & Visual Technology sponsors a variety of cultural programs. In addition, the institute has four galleries, including the Fine Arts Gallery, Gallery 123, Mason Hall Atrium and Alcove Gallery, which feature exhibitions by both students and internationally celebrated artists. It is located in Fairfax, Va. Art & Visual Technology is accredited with the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
