My first experience with Agway was when I was working for a local turf farm and bought some farm supplies there. I liked that the store had many things that I needed for myself as well. Years later when it was brought to my attention that the store was available as a franchise, my father Marshall and I jumped at the opportunity. We took over management of the store in 1990. Our business grew and we soon built a new larger facility in Exeter. After the Agway cooperative was bought by another cooperative called Southern States, we changed our name to Gillette's Home & Garden. Since our move in 1995 to Exeter we've been able to expand our product offering and provide a more comfortable shopping experience while maintaining superior customer service and great value. So whether you're in need of pet food and supplies, livestock feed, lawn and garden supplies, stone products, fencing, bird feed and feeders, or you just want to see a smiling face and have a bag of popcorn on us, stop by our store on rte. 2.
