Leipold's isn't a large shop, but you will be absolutely fascinated by their array of unique gifts, items and treasures. The owners are as interesting as the Shop & a joy to visit with....whether learning about Excelsior history, their antiques, their book collections (new and old), the store cat, or their fun & unique items. Their eclectic mix of antique, new, ethnic and specialty items is unrivaled. Plan on future visits -- always something you've never seen before, something you'll ask about and something for every interest (not to mention something you'll take home!). The owners personally travel & hand select their mechandise, often from smaller, local/regional artisans as well as international items (Scandinavia, Germany, etc). They also carry hard-to-find glass/replacement parts for antique lights & lamps. You will leave this quaint, 'non-pedestrian' shop with wares & an experience that will make you want to come back. The Leipold's shop & proprietors are local Gems.
