- Ankle SurgeryDr. Christensen founded the Ankle & Foot Clinic of Everett in 1988. He has specialized in complex reconstructive foot and ankle surgery for 34 years and is dedicated to helping patients with challenging foot ankle & lower leg problems.

- General PodiatryHe obtained a bachelors degree with honors in biology from Northeastern University in Boston in 1979 and graduated from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1983. He received his training in Reconstructive Foot & Ankle Surgery at the Swedish Podiatric Surgical Residency Program in Seattle in 1985.
- Podiatric SurgeryDr. Christensen is appointed to the medical staffs of: Swedish Medical Center in Seattle and Issaquah, Providence Regional Medical Center - Everett and St. Anne's Hospital in Burien. He has presented over 475 regional, national, and international lectures, written over 70 papers and book chapters on foot & ankle surgery and is nationally recognized for his extensive experience in teaching Arthroscopy, Total Ankle Replacement, Foot & Ankle Trauma, and Ankle Reconstruction to established surgeons and surgical residents across the country. At Swedish Medical Center, Dr. Christensen is the founder and director of the Northwest Surgical Biomechanics Laboratory, which is dedicated to furthering the understanding of foot & ankle deformities, conditions, and optimizing treatment methods. He is Past Chairman of Podiatric Surgery Division, Department of Orthopedics at Swedish Medical Center; served on the Board of Directors for the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons, and is past Research Director for The International Foot & Ankle Foundation for Research & Education.
