Opened in 1854, Central High School offers more than 140 courses in over 10 academic areas. It offers classes in business education, English, instrumental and vocal music, math, physical education, science, social studies and technology. Central High School also offers special education programs for students with special needs. The high school s athletic programs include baseball, basketball, bowling, cheerleading, football, golf, cross country, soccer, softball, tennis, volleyball and wrestling. The high school has a guidance department that offers college, financial aid, scholarship and career information to students. Central High School is located in Evansville, Ind., and is a part of Vanderburgh School Corporation.
