Provided by YP.comAll of the vets & techs here are amazing!! They are the best at what they do. Our dog went through major surgery & it was very costly, but they were very up front about the chances for survival which not that great. However we decided it was worth it. They let us come see him often & we were able to bring him homemade food. We were able to take him out for short walks. I can’t thank them enough for all they do!!🙏🏼❤️

Provided by YP.comI was charged $2,000 to kill my dog. I do not recommend. It would have been nice if they had just admitted there was nothing they could do. But It
was better for them to keep charging for doing nothing.

Provided by YP.comWhen our Lab needed emergency care we were fortunate to find Airport Freeway Animal Emergency Hospital. Based on our experience our family and our Labrador highly recommend the AFAEH.

Provided by YP.comWe recently added a stray to our pack. When she first showed up at our home, she didn’t look well. We decided to take her to the hospital to get her checked out. She was so timid, the hospital personnel were all so very sweet to her. Treated her with such kindness. After a few follow ups She is healthy, happy and heart worm free. You would think she had always been a part of our family. Thank you to all the help and kindness! We will be back and bringing all of our fur babies!

Provided by YPmobileTwo Weeks ago I had to take my dog in because she was limping. Dr Johnson was very helpful and gave us options on the treatment. My dog ended up needed surgery on both if her back legs due to a cruciate tear. Instead of sending her off to Dallas for surgery he had a Surgeon come to his hospital. My dog was treated like a queen. A special thanks to Debbie for all she did with my baby girl. Today my dog is doing great. And Dr Johnson has called us several times to check on her.
I would also like to add that when I read most of these reviews the issue seems to be money. I did not plan on this happening to my dog and it wasn't an easy check to write. As a responsible pet owner I knew this day would come. I'm just happy I found this hospital and I will always recommend it. Thanks again.

Provided by YP.comMy parents took my mini schnauzer into the emergency clinic last night. She had been panting for about 7 hours, and progressively started to get worse to the point she couldn't drink . I had given her some pain medication to try to help, but it didn't help her. I figured she had a very upset stomach. By about 10 pm she was shaking constantly and panting. Being a nurse , and having to be up early my parents said they would take her to this emergency clinic. I was told the vet came in and complained about being short staffed. She examined my dog , took her temperature and left the room telling my parents that they would come back with a total of what it would cost. A tech came back in and said that it would cost over $400.00 dollars for blood work and a stool specimen. They suggested that we give her nothing to eat or drink for 12 hours if they didn't want to pay for the blood work. My parents elected to do that because of the high cost of a few blood test. THAT IS IT...
THESE PEOPLE ARE MEAN. I SAT UP WITH MY DOG ALL NIGHT PANTING IN PAIN. She didn't give a crap that my dog was panting in pain. My dog threw up in their exam room... They didn't offer her nausea medication. ALL NIGHT MY DOG SUFFERED. They were paid $ 85.00 to do nothing...IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR DOG DO NOT TAKE IT HERE.. My dog went to the vet this morning and they gave her a shot for nausea, some antibiotic for an intestinal infection, and some pain medication. She is comfortable and no longer hurting. All i can say is SHAME ON THIS COMPANY FOR NOT GIVING A CRAP ABOUT HELPING A HELPLESS ANIMAL
If you have any questions feel free to contact me about the experience at kellijo82.miller@gmail.com

Provided by YP.comWe were visiting in Bedford with a toy poodle Lexy last Sunday. She had got sick and we called banfield vet they referred us to your facility. You diagnosed her with IMHA and she was a diabetic. Her prognosis was 50/50 as she needed blood transfusion before any meds could be given. The expertise of your staff and continued care brought her around and were able to return home today. Our vet has received all her paperwork and we can continue her care here.

Provided by YP.comThe staff is above and beyond amazing! They treat you wonderfully and treat your pet as if it was their own. My poor Pomeranian was suffering female problems and they didn't hesitate to help her and get her back to feeling %100! I was nervous leaving her over night but they called to let me know how she was that night and I was there early to pick her up the next morning because she was doing so well! I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who has fur babies that need help!

Provided by YP.comI have taken several of my pets to this hospital over the years. Last weekend my kitty Opal started vomiting for no apparent reason, so I took her in to the emergency hospital. Dr Levasseur didn't have an exact answer for me about what was wrong, but was able to give me several different options for treatment. It wasn't cheap, by a long shot, but they worked with me and gave me multiple options for treatment. Mindy presented me with several estimates and I was able to hospitalize her overnight. She received IV fluids and IV medications to treat her symptoms and was able to go home after about 20 hours. I am a nurse, and have always been impressed by how knowledgeable and compassionate the staff is. Dr Levasseur, Dr Smith and Dr Hawkins have all treated my pets and always make me feel comfortable and confident their number one concern is my pet's well being.

Provided by YP.comOn October 30th I lost my beloved friend and companion, a Golden Retriever named Prince.
This experience was almost unbearable as well as having to accept the reality that Prince would never be with me again in this lifetime. Prince died before I could get to the clinic from work and I was devastated. From the minute I walked into this facility I was immediately surrounded by the most compassionate and caring professionals I have ever seen. It was immediately obvious to me that the staff here devotes their entire lives to the caring of sick animals and to showing compassion to their owners.
They put me in a small room so I could spend time with him and quietly made arrangements to have him cremated. When I left, the staff gave me a small clipping of hair from his tail bound with a blue ribbon. I was very impressed and appreciative. I now have it framed and sitting on my bedroom dresser.
This staff is very organized and realizes that emergency medicine can be very expensive. They will inform you up front what is needed to treat your pet and how much it will cost. They even have Care Credit where you can pay off your bill over time. I do not know how much more any facility could do to help relieve financial stress. People out there please understand, this is EMERGENCY MEDICINE not a casual trip to the vet. Unfortunately it is expensive but we are all forced to be aware of this when we take a human to the emergency room.
For you few people out there who have accused this clinic of "only trying to take your money", is totally unfair. If you witnessed what I witnessed on October 30th you would never even think about making a rude remark like that!
Finally, I would recommend this hospital to anyone who requires special care for their sick pet. God bless all of you and thank you for taking special care of my precious dog!

Provided by YPmobileI took my little Capone a 12 year old shizu here a couple weeks ago. Capone was shaking all over and couldn't open his eyes and one eye looked worse than the other. The Dr knew exactly what was wrong with him and even took me in the back to show me under a microscope with dye in his eye that he had an ulcer on his eye. They were very gentle with Capone and talked very nice to him to keep him calm. Prior to putting the due in his eye the Dr personally came out with 3 treatment options for me to choose from. Then I asked her if it was her baby which would she go with and she pointed to one and said this is what I would start with and she said it included antibiotics and pain meds & recommended I give him a couple days and by then my regular vet would be open and I could take him in for a follow up and to get his recommendation if I felt necessary. I point this out because of some of the other reviews...her recommendation was the cheapest treatment plan of all three options. She even brought out a bag of pull pouch treats when she brought me his prescriptions. They made it so much easier to give him pills and a bag sells for $8.00 at pet smart and she didnt charge me got them nor did she have to give them to me. They got Capone out of immediate pain and he was no longer shaking and I felt they took really great care of him. My total visit was $270 but it was 2:30 am when I took him in which makes the visit $98 vs $70 plus the dye in his eye and examining it under a microscope two perscriptions and his vitals. I think that the price was reasonable and I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Provided by YP.comWhat a caring staff. I thought I was going to loose my dog last. The compassion and honesty is why my dog is still with me today. Mindy was exceptional, understanding and compassionate. The Doctor was as well. Dr. L is what I remember her name starting with. Yes it's expensive after all they are there when no one else can be. Thank you for saving Piglets life and keeping my as calm as possible. Mindy, you are truly a blessing. It's nice to have someone who is so compassionate with your job!

Provided by YP.comTHESE PEOPLE - ALL OF THEM ARE GREAT!
I have had to visited many times for my poor baby Gumpy girl cat. They went way out of their way to help her. I have place many calls since then for my 4 other cats - enough for most of them to know my voice :-). They are always pleasant, there to hold your hand, offer advise, give you courage to make choices that are very difficult.
Then only downfall, they do not have a regular vet service :-(....cause if they did, I would NOT go anywhere else but here. Perhaps that will change, but not soon enough!
Keep up the good work!

Provided by YP.comMy husband and I had to take our 8 weeks old puppy in because it was Sunday and they were the only place open. He had swallowed something and was very very ill. First off...they charged us $290 just for an exam, xrays, and a pain injection. They found in the xray that he needed surgery and gave us a quote of $2500 freakin dollars. We are newly weds and there was no way we could afford that. They didn't work with us at all and left us with no choice but to put him to sleep because we didn't have the money...and they still charged us $400 to put him to sleep. We were absolutely heartbroken...but they just took their happy little money and killed our puppy. I would NEVER recommend this place to ANYONE!!!

Provided by YP.comIt's Sunday night, my vet is not open and my cat is displaying extremely odd behavior. I figured out she could not see and rushed her in to the only place that was open. Very caring staff, they were gentle, they talked to her and me, very reassuring also. Nothing takes the place of a vet you have been seeing for 10 yrs, but they come a close second. I would use them again in a heartbeat! Thank you.

Provided by YP.comThe staff was very supportive and helpful when I brought my dog Yoshi in on the evening of Easter after she was attacked by another dog. They were quick to check her out while keeping us informed of her condition. Not only did they do a great job of taking care of Yoshi, but they also took amazing care of my family!! One thing that stood out to me was rather then just bringing one option out and telling us how much it was going to cost, they worked hard to give a procedure that would work with less cost to you along with the recommended procedure. We could really tell that they cared for us and our pet. I would send anyone there in a heartbeat!

Provided by YP.comHaving animals is like having children...sometimes expensive, but very rewarding when they love you unconditionally in return. The expense is a responsibility that you take on when accepting the animal. One of my cats had swalloed my hair rubberband and I was informed that she would have to have emergency surgery to save her life. She was very ill and needed help quick. I took my cat, Daisy, to Airport Freeway Emergency Clinic, and had a wonderful experience. The staff was so sweet and empathetic to my situtation. The staff introduced themselves and let me know what role each person would be taking to make sure Daisy was well taken care of. Dr. Trudy Smith performed the surgery with NO complications! Dr. Smith was so confident in her experience with emergency animal medicine and it was such a relief. She was genuinely concerned with the well being of Daisy and was very patient in explaining her lab results. I left the clinic feeling very relieved that Daisy was in great hands. I would recommend, and have already recommended, the clinic to anyone that needs emergency assistance. Thanks for all of your hard work Airport Freeway Animal Emergency Clinic!!

Provided by YP.comMy dog collapsed and could barely breathe. Being Friday after work I thought had no choice but to rush him to this hospital. Collette Levasseur was the vet on duty that evening. She wanted to take x-rays, do blood work, start an IV for fluids and antibiotics, give him some oxygen, etc to find out what was wrong. Levasseur came back and said it was probably pneumonia and my dog needed to stay overnight. I was required to give them a credit card right then with the lowest estimated charge being over $1,900.00! By the next night my dog was in severe respiratory distress and Levasseur would not continue treatment unless I agreed to more charges. She could not guarantee my dog would make it or how long it would take or how much it would cost in the end. Unlike Sullivan's Mom, neither I nor my entire family has $12,000 to spend on vet bills! To make this long heartbreaking story short, my dog was older and I made the tough decision to end his suffering. Now my beloved dog is dead and I have a bill of almost $2,100.00 for roughly 27 hours of "care" at this place. Yes, it was an emergency and I knew it wouldn't be cheap, but seriously?! (And yes, I was also charged for euthanasia and cremation.) I am emotionally and financially devastated. I agree with other reviewers who say Dr. Levasseur is all about the money. (Google it) I felt she was indifferent and would not work with me financially. Do not take your pet to this clinic unless you have an endless supply of money!
