American English Institute at the University of Oregon has been providing English language instruction to international students and educators who want to enter American universities and learn English for personal and professional purposes. The institute aims to help students learn and communicate in English and gain a better understanding of the American culture. Its programs include intensive and academic English programs and distance learning programs. The institute offers a variety of boarding facilities and also provides counseling services and information on visa and immigration policies to international students. AEI is fully accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation and is a member of the American Association of Intensive English Programs and University and College Intensive English Programs. American English Institute has been operational since 1977 and is based in Eugene, Ore.
