Formed in October, 1994, Access Engineering has amassed valuable experience working on projects all over the state of Oregon. From May 1996 until September of 2005, Access Engineering was the Transportation Division of L.B. Olson and Associates, Inc. Access Engineering is now an independent LLC with offices in downtown Eugene. The firm has an impressive track record and years of experience working on projects in both the public and private sectors. Access Engineering's diverse project background enables it to solve complex problems quickly and accurately. Through its commitment to customer satisfaction, the firm has established an outstanding reputation for expert service in the fields of transportation planning, traffic engineering, traffic signal systems design, street lighting design, and air quality analysis. Access Engineering has the experience and tools necessary to prepare traffic engineering studies ranging from traffic impact analyses for small developments to area-wide transportation system plans, to air quality analyses. Our projects include diverse elements such as trip generation and distribution, intersection analyses, safety studies, pedestrian/bicycle studies, air quality analyses, construction traffic control plans, and street alignments. Our staff includes personnel experienced in the design of traffic signals and street lighting as well as ODOT certified inspectors. Traffic studies and design services have been successfully conducted for both public agencies and private companies and developers. The firm has in depth experience in the application of complex microscopic traffic and transit simulation models such as VISSIM as well as macroscopic signal optimization programs such as TRANSYT-7F and SYNCHRO.
