Dr. Cotler is a highly esteemed podiatrist with numerous years of schooling at well-established institutions. In 1982, he graduated from Fairleigh Dickinson University with a Bachelor in Science. Dr. Cotler obtained his license to practice medicine at The New York College of Podiatric Medicine in 1986. As a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, he went on to open his own practice in downtown Miami.Education and experienceWhile in Florida, Dr. Cotler served as an adjunct faculty member to the Barry University School of Podiatry. Through Mt. Sinai Medical Center, the students would rotate through the clinic gaining experience while in their 3rd year rotations with Dr. Cotler as their clinical instructor. Also while in Florida, he was on the medical and surgical staff to the following hospitals: Mt. Sinai, Cedars Medical, and Universal Medical Centers'.
