Namb , which is pronounced nom-BAY, was christened for a tiny village near Santa Fe in northern New Mexico where the company was founded in 1951. The most distinguishing characteristic of Namb is that the company is as devoted to form as it is to function. Many early Namb designs, which include Tri-Corner and Butterfly bowls, still offer a strong source of revenue for the company. Customers of prestigious stores like Neiman-Marcus, Saks 5th Avenue, Bloomingdale s and Gump s were some of the first to discover Namb . Museums added Namb to their collections and exhibits. In 1998, the company introduced the collection of Namb full-lead crystal; in 2001, Namb lighting; and in 2003, Namb porcelain. Namb has a location in Espanola, N.M.
