In 1948, Wellie Yaple Senior started with the Hoover Company selling vacuums door to door. Yaple's Vacuum was born in 1957 when this family-owned business opened their doors on 23rd and French Streets to the first customer. In 1962 it became Yaple's Sewing and Vacuum Center as the wonderful world of sewing machines was added. The business moved to West 26th and Liberty Street in 1976 due to a major fire at the original location. Bigger and expanded - Yaple's now carries more brands like Husqvarna Viking, Pfaff, Singer, White, Juki, Hoover, Sebo, Royal, Eureka and Oreck. Now, owned by the 2nd generation, Yaple's carries the same brands and offers the same pricing as the chain stores but with outstanding customer service. Being the warranty center for sewing machines and vacuums in the tri state area, Yaple's professional staff with exceptional product knowledge is always on hand. Offering vacuum and sewing machine repair and a stocked parts department, Yaple's also offers free assembly on any products sold. With the latest technology, Yaple's still delivers that old-fashioned hometown touch.
