Acting in the belief that her principles and commitment could lead to positive change in healthcare, our President and CEO, Shawn Keough-Hartz, CHBME, reorganized PRI in 2003 as an entity with that mission. Ms. Keough-Hartz continues to lead PRI with her thorough understanding of a complex and rapidly-changing national healthcare industry. From its corporate culture of compliance to its mission of providing superior healthcare services by its highly-qualified and experienced staff, PRI has clearly identified itself as a leader in the application of innovative and reliable problem-solving approaches for the healthcare industry. Grounded in integrity, PRI is equally committed to building trust-based partnerships with clients by providing project-specific expertise through standardized processes to support research & review, analysis, and education. With its inception in 1986, PRI began to experience strategic growth that has led, ultimately, to our incorporation in 2003. Our executive team - drawing inspiration and direction from our CEO - has mobilized its corporate passion and desire to make a difference in healthcare by instilling clinical and fiscal integrity into the system on all levels. As the company has continued to mature, we have developed programs that benefitted medical providers, insurance carriers, and governmental programs such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services ( CMS ), the Office of Inspector General/United States Postal Service ( OIG/USPS ), the National Institutes of Health ( NIH ), and the Veteran's Administration ( VA ). The PRI team comprises healthcare experts with a varied range of specialties, such as compliance and integrity, medical review, healthcare policy, quality improvement, investigations, legal review, data analysis, Medicare and Medicaid program support, healthcare claims pricing and validation, educational development and training, and conference planning. We continue to assemble an outstanding team of licensed and board certified physicians, knowledgeable in evidence based medicine on our PRI Physicians Review Panel, currently representing 32 medical specialties. Our team understands how to collaboratively meet the industry's need for improving quality while lowering costs. This Review Panel strengthens PRI resources as we find and reduce clinically- and financially-based fraud, waste & abuse. Though the PRI corporate offices are in in Erie PA, we employ an impressive array of nationally-based experts. Because of this flexibility, PRI leadership is able to quickly identify, recruit and retain its highly-qualified and specialized staff from anywhere in the country.
