Great service and knowledgeable staff about pet nutrition and care. Wonderful policy of allowing rejected food by your pet to be returned. Although known for their seeds and garden supplies the store is much more.

I go to nickel plate for my dogs supplies large variety of food and anything you can think of for your pets, staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable in anything you ask them, store is very clean and is a beautiful building it really cleans up the neighborhood. Prices are good too. They helped me when my dog had cancer they steered me in the right direction to get him the best food and supplements that could help in his fight , even know the cancer still took over his battle it was not without a fight ,when he passed away I knew I did my best for my friend and nickel plate did their part in helping him and me and I have been going there ever since and will keep going as long as they are there. Friendly staff and great selection of garden supplies. Everything from bird feeders, seeds, products for pets, plants, and plant care (good prices too). A family owned business. The owners are often seen in the store and so is there big friendly dog! A wonderful local business.

Great selection of garden supplies and pet food. Selection of plants could be better. Friendly staff makes your trip enjoyable. Spring seed selection is terrific. Unique garden gift items you won't find anywhere else but catalogs. Building is cozy and beautiful, makes you want to browse till you've seen everything.
