DO NOT shop at this pet store until they change their treatment of the animal! They need warmth, a bed, toys, and some love while they await adoption..they DO NOT get this here!

The kennels are kept very clean. There is staff dedicated to solely caring for animals. The kennels are cleaned fully at least twice a day and spot cleaned all day long. The objective being to catch the "puppy business" right away so they aren't laying in it all day.

In 2009 my boyfriend and I were window shopping and fell head over heels in love with an adorable 11 week old parti color spaniel at Heartland Pets. We weren't planning on getting a dog at the time but after coming back and playing with her a few more times we decided that we had to have her. Now our cute little puppy is 3 and a half years old and has grown into the best dog either of us has ever had. She's happy, healthy, loving and very outgoing. She's also quite intelligent; she potty trained quickly and learns commands easily.

We have bought 2 dogs from Heartland. Both have been healthy and happy.

We have had nothing but postive experiences when we have been there. Megan who left personally sold us our Viszla. She went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure that we were the right family for our puppy. We have gone back several times to thank her for all that she did for us, and to let her know how our daughter is doing :-)

my fiance and I found a very special Siberian Husky puppy at Heartland. She was very clean when we went to look at her. She is by far the best dog I've ever owned; very well behaved, healthy, and happy. The employees at Heartland helped us out with her adoption, and answered all questions for us.

We have been using Precise since we moved into our home. They have always done an excellent job. We would recommend them to anyone we know. They do a great job and are a great company to work with.

Our puppy is healthy, happy and we love him and wouldn't trade him back for anything.

Heartland pets gets my heart

I wanted a Papillon puppy in the worst way and could not find one near us at the time. I did find one at Heartland and finally convinced my husband to let me have him. Let me tell you that so far he is the BEST toy breed dog that I have ever seen. He is amazing. I couldn't ask for anything more from him. He is a very nice breed standard, he is wonderful with other dogs and kids and his demeanor is fantastic.

We bought a 5 month old Pomeranian from Heartland Pets We found the pet store to be very clean and the puppies well taken care. We had him vet checked and he's very healthy. When we picked him up before the Mall opened they had him bathed and brushed and all the other dogs were also being taken care of at that time.

All information from the breeder was given to us. We later contacted the breeder who is very reputable and NOT a puppy mill! these dogs need loving homes just as badly as Humane Society dogs.

We recently purchased our dog from Heartland Pets and are very pleased with her. I had resolved all questions that I had by having her Vet checked immediately after we purchased her.

We got so much help.. we recently purchased a puggle puppy and she is perfect. well behaved..healthy and playful. the girl working was so much help and spent so much time with us. They offer warranties and have high Pennsylvania standards for puppy care. I would get a puppy from there again if we ever decide to get another one.

We bought a Shetland Sheepdog from Heartlands at the Erie Mall about 13 years ago. We loved her so much. It wasn't her fault if she came from a puppy mill. She still wanted to be loved. She was our first baby and her name was Princess, but we called her Bubby. She was very healthy for 11 years before she fell ill to stomach tumors. We miss her so much. It's been a year since she died and we are now thinking of adding a new puppy to our bunch.

My husband and I purchased a Siberian Husky puppy on May 21st, 2011. I understand those who disapprove of pet store chains and the sale of puppies but these pups need homes too. The puppy we bought is a great addition to our family. She is healthy, energetic and has adjusted well in our home. I would like to thank Liz, who took our phone call and answered all of our questions prior to our long trip to Erie. We were looking for a specific puppy ( I had a husky for 13 years) and Heartland pets had what we were looking for. Although more expensive, she is a great investment and a wonderful addition to our home. I know there are shelters full of animals that need homes but we don't always know were these dogs come from either. Heartland pets was full of courteous and kind staff. Thank you so much. Went to look in on these sad puppymill pups that I feel so sorry for. I noticed a coon hound pup sitting on the top row he looked sick, goopy eyes, flaky skin and every bone in his body was sticking out. Now there was no sign on his kennel saying "sick" or "not for sale", no they were waiting for someone that takes pity on this poor thing to buy it and have all sorts of vet bills. If you are a lover of animals do not support this terrible place. Make the establishment be accountable for their horrible care of these poor innocent animals.

We got our black lab puppy over a year ago-she is 18 months-I can tell you, that Heartland Pets negotiated prices with us for her, and did all the paperwork for her. We took her to our Veterinarian immediately after buying her, had blood work done, etc -I was actually able to contact the breeder and speak with her on the phone. Anyways, our Veterinarian loves her - she is so full of p*** & vinegar. She is a healthy strong and very kind hearted lab. She fits the mold of a Labrador Retriever perfectly. I know she is a "pet shop puppy" but we got her, we saved her, and we love her and she loves us. You can read all the articles you want, but when committing to a new pet, you have to do what is right in your heart - not just by what you read. I salute Heartland Pets for their kindness and care for all of the dogs, and the customers.Thank You, Heartland Pets -your store is very reputable.
