Ward Petroleum, based in Enid, Okla., is an operator of more than 350 oil and gas wells in the state. The company has drilled more than 800 wells in the Anadarko and Arkoma basin in Oklahoma, some as deep as 22,000 feet. It acquires oil and gas assets that produce reserves and provide exploration opportunities. The corporation has deals with companies, such as Exxon Mobil and Marathon. Its core acquisition areas include Chitwood, Golden Trend, Wichita Mountain Front, southern Oklahoma, the Arkoma Basin and the deep Anadarko Basin. Ward Petroleum has been listed in the top 100 fastest growing United States companies by Inc. magazine, and has been named a blue-chip enterprise by Nations Business magazine.
