General Info

Dr. Scott Shields was born and raised in Shelby, NC. After high school, he served as a Reactor Operator in the US Navy. He then volunteered two years as a full time missionary for his faith. Coincidentally, where he happened to meet his future bride, Carolyn. Dr. Shields attended both University of North Carolina and Central State University in Edmond studying Engineering and Chemistry respectively. He and his wife then traveled to Cleveland to receive his Doctorate from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. After graduating and fulfilling a Surgical Residency and Fellowship Training, he and his family moved to Enid, OK to open Northwest Foot & Ankle Center. Dr. Shields is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery, Member of the American Diabetic Association, Member of the American Medical Athletic Association, Member of the American and Oklahoma Podiatric Medical Association, Diplomat of the National Board of Podiatric Examiners, Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and Fellow of the American College of Foot & Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Shields is a pilot who loves to travel and explore, including scuba diving. He remains married to his sweetheart and together, have a daughter and two grandchildren.
