I do not know where to even begin..... We were supposed to check out on July 25th but instead on the 24th we got a note under the door from the hotel thanking us for our stay and expecting us to check out on the 24th. My husband went down to speak to the front desk and asked as to why we received a note along with our bill attached to it for checkout. They said they had us listed in the system as checking out the 24th. My husband then went on to show them our email confirmation that (which was for 2 rooms for 31 nights each starting on June 24th and through July 25th. They could care less what we had to say. Instead the front desk (a male) told us sorry we are completely booked and have no rooms available. My husband then went on to ask where they expect us to go if we haven't booked another hotel and how they this is completely unprofessional. He gave the same reply that how they are completely booked and nothing is available. Conceding the point, my husband asked if we could get a late check out so that we would have some time to pack (a month at a hotel equates some to some serious packing). The front desk stated how they had to clean 40 rooms and couldn't extend a late check out to us, despite me being a Gold member with Hilton and having just stayed a total of 62 nights in 2 rooms. My husband had to leave for work and in a rush, I had to prepare 2 young kids, pack everything - all with housekeeping standing at our door waiting for us to leave. In the haste to leave, I left behind my purse and a bag of brand new clothes. My purse that had my watch, passport, makeup, organizer and a set of apple head phones along with a banana republic bag that contained new clothes next to the TV stand. When I realized right away that I left my purse I called the hotel and they told me that nothing was found in their lost and found and that they checked with housekeeping as well. If the only person in after us was the housekeeping lady then who else could have stolen the purse and clothes?? Plain and simple their house keeping STEALS!!! I left my Louie Vuitton purse (Approximately $2000) on the table with my Tag Carrera (Approximately $3000) diamond watch, Apple head phones ($108) and most importantly, my travel documents including Passports and Birth Certificates inside my purse. I then spoke to their General manager Greg and he claims that his housekeepers do not steal and he doesn't know what happened to my items. If the purse was in the room last and after housekeeping went in to clean it right after me then who else could have stolen it?? Our family's plan was to leave on a cruise after checking out from the hotel on the 25th. 2 days in Florida and then on to our cruise. However, without my passports and birth certificates, we cannot get on a cruise. I have contacted corporate and made a police report. I have also hired an attorney who has started the process to contact the CEO of Hilton. Had they not kicked us out and gave us a little more time to gather all of our stuff I wouldn't have forgotten my purse and my husband's new khaki banana republic pants and light blue shirt. Also the general manager Greg lied to the police in his statement!!! He stated how I came downstairs and turned in my keys to check out and how they didn't ask us to leave early. WOW what a lie!! They have cameras in their hotel lobby and at every exit why not check your cameras and show me where I came on my own to check out!! So how is it that we have in our possession a thank you for your stay letter and a bill attached to it with a check out date of July 24th? Additionally, when asked by my husband as to whether or not he questioned the staff or reviewed the videos - the General Manager says he doesn't need to now, maybe he will later if he feels like it. It's a real shame how they treated us, the hotel management allows housekeeping to do what they please because he is corrupt like them. I highly doubt a housekeeper would turn in over $5k worth of items. I t
