Janette Matthess, MS, FNP-C is a certified family nurse practitioner who provides comprehensive care for people of all ages. She offers treatment for a wide range of conditions and also works with individuals over the long term to maintain their health and wellness, with a focus on preventative care. She also administers immunizations, screening tests and performs sports physicals. Janette has nine years of experience with UC San Diego Health and was a charge nurse at the former Thornton Hospital in La Jolla. Her previous experience as a nurse practitioner includes working at the Pfizer Global Health and Wellness clinic in San Diego where she diagnosed and treated work related injuries, treated acute and chronic illnesses, and provided routine health maintenance and primary care services. She also focused on health education. She earned her bachelors and masters degrees in nursing from California State University, Dominguez Hills, Calif.
