I have banked with Citizens State Bank for years in several locations (Madison, New Strawn, Lyndon & Emporia and have never had any issues with them. The employees are very professional and courteous. I recommend this bank to anyone thinking of starting a new account or changing where they do their banking.

The female Manager (assist Manager?) was the most rude, disagreeable person I have had the misfortune to deal with at Citizens State Bank on Christmas Eve to top it off! I have dealt with the Burlington Branch of this bank for 9 years and have had nothing but wonderful, pleasant helpful experiences. This too with the Emporia branch until my encounter with that horrible woman. Disrespectful and unprofessional. You could see the tellers just flinching each time she opened her mouth. I chose not to confront her on this special day but to just take my business back to the Burlington branch where my transaction went smoothly and professionally albeit 45 miles away. I can't imagine this woman is the image Citizens State Bank would want representing them in such a competitive market place.
