St. Joseph's Hospital, a Catholic health facility, is a voluntary nonprofit community general hospital founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Rochester in cooperation with the physicians and citizens of Elmira, NY. The Hospital ministers to inpatients and outpatients, serving as a primary care and specialty referral center for people from all faiths living in Chemung County and the surrounding counties of New York and Pennsylvania. Its services include acute inpatient care, surgical services, addition rehabilitation, support groups and a variety of patient services. St. Joseph s Hospital is located in Elmira.
