Complete Scam

I had the chance to meet one of the technicians currently employed by this company, and even HE admitted the entire process is utterly ineffective. They employ the use of a LEAF BLOWER to "force air" through dozens of feet worth of ductwork, and then swear that this is an effective means to clear the vents of debris. At the end of the service, the technician will produce an old air filter covered in dust to provide "evidence" of a successful duct cleaning. The technician will manipulate your thermostat so that your furnace runs its fan only. A chimney sweep brush is then inserted into your main lines so that the fan can bring whatever dust is knocked loose into the filter. Nothing ever touches any of the multiple vents which branch off from the trunk lines. Furthermore, their "sanitizing" service is nothing more than diluted bleach water which the company purchases for 50 dollars a container. The container lasts several months. As a businessman, I am appalled. You have been warned.

Above and Beyond

I called to get a quote on having my vents cleaned and sanitized on Monday, and by Tuesday afternoon everything was finished. This was the first time since I bought my home that i was having my vents cleaned. This was the very first time my vents had ever been cleaned. The crew was courteous, respectful, and neat. They explained everything that was going to be done, how long it was going to take and how much it was going to cost. It was 300 less than Sears was going to charge me. I would recommend them to anyone. Very happy customer!!

I was not happy with the service provided by this company. They use what looked to be a leaf blower and just shoved it in the vent. It left a horrible gasoline smell throughout the whole house. I was not told that this smell would linger and I had to leave the house for the rest of the day. I did not want the kids smelling that all day. I had used a different company in the past that put a router that spun through the ducts. I would never use this compay or any other company that uses a leaf blower again!

Very Disappointing

I called several companies to get a quote for airduct cleaning, sanitization, and dryer vent cleaning. When I spoke with a rep from Quality Air, I was quoted a price on the phone for the vent cleaning, dryer cleaning, and vent sanitizing. When the serviceman got here, after he already cut a hole in my vent, he informed me that it would be an additional $80.00 for sanitizing my vents. He also told me I had mold in the vents. I called the company and complained to the person whom I had gotten the quote from initially, and he said that he never said that the initial price he quoted me included sanitzing. I read him my notes from the previous day and he simply refused to listen. I will never use this company again. It is deceitful and unethical. I told them I would not pay the extra $80.00 and I will go to a reputable firm in the future.

Think twice.

Called them in for duct-work cleaning. While there the service guy asks if we want him to blow out the dryer vent for an extra fee. We say yes. Unfortunately in the process, he blew lint into a heating element wheel that threw the dryer out of balance. We had to call an appliance repair man to come fix the dryer. When Quality Air was called - they said it wasn't their problem, the repair man didn't specifically say Quality Air was the cause. I'm thinking that using a leaf blower might not be the best tool for blowing out a dryer vent thru the dryer?!!

We also paid up front for a "Forever" furnace filter (costing over $100.00) and were told that it would take 2 weeks to receive. It took 3 phone calls and 4 weeks to receive.

Do what you want, but we will not recommend this company nor use them again.
