Located in Elmhurst, Ill., Immaculate Conception Grade School is an educational ministry of Immaculate Conception Parish. Founded in 1900, the school serves students in preschool through grade eight. The school s academic curriculum includes instruction in language arts, English, math, science, social studies, music, art, and religious and physical education. Its educational program also includes instruction in the areas of Spanish, computer technology, family life and sex education. Immaculate Conception Grade School organizes various extracurricular activities, such as school plays, spirit days, essay and speech contests, and geography bee and spelling bee competitions. Additionally, the school conducts a variety of athletic programs that include football, basketball, volleyball, cross-country, and track and field. It is recognized by the Catholic Schools Office of the Diocese of Joliet and the Illinois State Board of Education.
