I was very excited to try the Southern Grill because I work in the building across the street. My coworkers were raving about it. I also had been saving all week and brown bagging it for one indulgence of going out to eat this evening at work. I was very disappointed in both the service and the food. I agree with the other review on here, that they are new and growing. But they charge $2.15 for a soda (free refills.) I asked to have my soda while I waited for my order (to go,) and she promised she would then forgot. I am not ok with paying two dollars for 16 oz of soda! Furthermore the meatloaf had far too many onions, so much that my coworker said he could smell them across the room. The meatloaf did have promise, however, and I do love onions. I was completely disappointed to learn that the mashed potatoes were not homemade. Additionally, I asked for one order of mashed and they gave me two, despite me explainign i was watching my figure.
