Located in Elkhorn, Neb., the Life Care Center of Elkhorn offers a variety of services to residents, such as skilled and intermediate care beds, posthospitalization assistance, and inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. It also provides wound management, respite care, short-term stay program, orthopedic and neurology care, and suction, anodyne and oxygen therapies. The center employs a staff of physicians, nurses, rehabilitation directors, registered dietitians, social service coordinators, and physical, speech and occupational therapists. The Life Care Center of Elkhorn is owned and operated by Life Care, which operates more than 200 skilled nursing homes, assisted living facilities, retirement living communities, home care services and Alzheimer's centers.
