A used car is a used car. The factory warranties are generally expired and most aftermarket warranties are useless. Not to mention the "taboo" of a "buy here/pay here" used car lot. This we've come to expect when purchasing used. However, if you're in the market for a used car - this is NOT the experience w/USA 1 Auto Sales in Elkhart & Goshen, Indiana. I purchased a 2007 Equinox with just over 35 K miles and have had 1 problem after another on it. Everything from transmission issues where it literally wouldn't go into gear to now it's in the shop w/total electrical shut down (the BCM). BOTH of those issues (I've found out now) are KNOWN and common issues of the 07 Equinox. The guys at USA 1 have immediately taken care of every single issue that has come up and made sure that either they, or the aftermarket warranty they sold me has covered every occurrence. Granted, I've only put about 3000 miles on it in 5 months and my payments have always been up to date or early, and I don't ever contact them with anything frivolous. So, I'm a good customer to have and keep. And they have my business, my referrals and recommendations for life! So often, only negative reviews go online. When everything is great, people aren't as inclined to go online and post. But, I just got off the phone w/the mechanic that has my truck and I was SHOCKED in the most positive of ways when he told me USA 1 "gave the ok" to remove, replace & reprogram the BCM and "get me taken care of". I felt compelled to post for anyone looking for a pre owned vehicle to do yourself a favor and go talk to USA 1 in Elkhart or Goshen. Because again, a used car is a used car, the service AFTER the sale is what you invest in.
