My favorite restaurant in Elk Rapids, and there are numerous fine establishments here. The annual "Crawfest" is absolutely wonderful. They make a crayfish risotto that is to die for, but unfortunately is only available during Crawfest. Their crayfish etuoffee is excellent, as is their jambalaya. The portions will fill the heartiest of appetites. Along with the homemade bread and corn bread, you won't need an appetizer, but they are excellent, as well. It's not a quiet place, there is always a Mardi Gras atmosphere that makes it a fun, rowdy place to go, with killer food. Definitely worth stopping by when in Elk Rapids of if you're in Traverse City, it's worth the 20 minute trip up to Elk Rapids to give it a try.

Don't come for a quiet dinner! This boisterous place serves up great cajun style food. Hush puppies were memorable, as was the blackened fish. Get a DD, and have a Hurricane. Or two.
