Sonoscan, established in 1973, has been the industry leader and innovator in AMI technology. Sonoscan develops and manufactures instruments that cover the gamut of needs to nondestructively inspect and analyze products (especially microelectronics devices). Originally licensed through Zenith Radio Corporation, Sonoscan introduced the world s first commercially available AMI system, the Scanning Laser Acoustic Microscope (SLAM), in 1975 and, thereby, ushered in an important new field - AMI. . Sonoscan supports its users through educational programs, workshops and hands-on training. Programs are available for all user levels from beginners to advanced and are presented at one of Sonoscan s facilities or at a customer site. Sonoscan operates regional technical support centers and laboratories in the United States, Europe and Asia. The company s corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility is in Elk Grove Village, Ill. Its satellite offices and laboratories are located in Santa Clara, Calif., Scottsdale, Ariz., Burlington, Mass., Dorset, England, Manila, Philippines and Hong Kong.
