Dr. Dave collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, including pain psychology and physical therapy to maximize patient outcomes. He has started outpatient consultations at the Neurosciences Institute at AMITA Health Alexian Brothers Medical Center. Dr. Dave will also be available for inpatient consults for chronic pain management patients once his hospital privileges are approved. Initially, he will focus his inpatient program on surgical patients with preoperative chronic pain. He will be setting up a pre-surgical chronic pain consultation program in partnership with general surgeons, orthopedics, bariatrics, and neurosurgery. The goal of this program is to create a pain management plan prior to surgery that the patient will follow upon admission. Additionally, Dr. Dave will also work closely with the emergency department to minimize admissions or readmissions of chronic pain patients.
