The food and service at this restaurant is absolutely outstanding. I have visited China town Chinese restaurants from Alaska, Vancouver, B.C. to San Diego, CA and on both coasts of the United States. The food served at Peony Palace in Elk Grove, CA is topped by none. This place is my favorite. Your order is served hot and within a reasonable expected period of time. The dish selections are varied sufficiently to allow for the most demanding palate. To sacrifice an opportunity to dine at Peony Palace would be a disservice to one's self. I, my family and my friends all highly recommend this fine establishment. ENJOY!!!!

We moved to the area less than 3 months ago, and were looking for a good Chinese restaurant. We tried Peony at the recommendation of a friend, and the food is fantastic. We walked in to order take-out, and the restaurant has a very nice appearance and looks very clean. They have a Mongolian BBQ grill in the center, a full bar, and have dine-in and take out services.We ordered Chicken Lo-Mein, Fried Rice, Szechuan beef, Sweet and Sour Pork, Dumplings (pot-stickers), and egg rolls. The food was extremely good, and plentiful enough that we ate two days in a row (then I had enough left for my lunch today).Just as a personal preference, I prefer my sweet and sour pork to be separate from the sauce, (which is better for leftovers as you dip them as you eat them)... but it had very good taste, and we will order it again despite the sauce coming with the meat.Next time I am going to try the Mongolian BBQ.We will definitely use Peony as our Chinese take out regularly.

This is a small family owned business so you can easily get to know everyone. They are fast, friendly and give very generous sized portions. There food is actually cooked by Chinese people and it taste AMAZING. This is my friends and families favorite Chinese resturant in ElkGrove... you have got to try it!
