The Elizabeth City Police Department is a state-accredited law enforcement agency that preserves peace and safety and safeguards constitutional rights. It maintains an administrative service division that is comprised of a community policing bureau, career development unit, and records and communications bureau. The Elizabeth City Police Department also has an operations division that includes uniformed patrol, K-9, traffic enforcement, parking control, school crossing guards and police reserves sections. In addition, the department operates an investigative service division that consists of a criminal investigations bureau and drug enforcement, crime scene evidence and property units. The Elizabeth City Police Department is located in Elizabeth City, N.C.
