- GlaucomaGlaucoma is a leading cause of blindness, accounting for approximately 12% of new cases of blindness each year in the United States. This condition affects about 3% of all Americans over the age of 65, and over half of those with glaucoma don’t know they have it. For this reason, it has developed a reputation as the “silent thief” of sight.

- Laser Eye SurgeryIf you’ve been longing to reduce—or even eliminate—your dependence on glasses and contact lenses, you’ve probably looked into refractive surgery. LASIK is a modern, state-of-the-art refractive procedure designed to correct myopia (nearsightedness), hyperopia (farsightedness), and astigmatism (uneven focusing of light). LASIK involves using cool pulses of light to prepare the cornea for surgery. The cornea is then reshaped using a cool ultra-violet laser. The whole procedure generally takes around 15 minutes per eye. LASIK's laser-improved precision allows the surgeon to tailor the procedure to the shape of your individual eye for personalized, satisfying results.
- CataractsCataracts are the leading cause of vision loss among adults age 60 or older and have become increasingly common as our population ages and lives longer. Treatment requires a quick, minimally invasive surgical procedure to remove your cloudy lens and replace it with a new lens implant. Over 3 million cataract surgeries are performed each year in the United States.
- Cataract SurgeryModern cataract surgery has evolved rapidly over the past few years. It is considered one of the safest and most effective medical procedures used today, giving patients more choice in lens options. By combining the most advanced lenses for distance and near vision or astigmatism correction with cataract surgery, patients are regaining the vision they had in their 20s.

- Diabetic RetinopathyDiabetes is a disease that affects the body's ability to produce or use insulin effectively to control blood sugar levels. Diabetic retinopathy, the most common diabetic eye disease, is the result of damage to the small blood vessels located in the retina (the light sensitive lining at the back of the eye) caused by high blood sugar levels for an extended period of time. Damage to these blood vessels can lead to vision loss.
- UltrasoundThe surgeon makes an incision and uses ultrasound waves to break up the hard, yellow proteins that form the cataract, leaving the lens membrane in place.
