Blackwell Elementary School provides educational programs to students from prekindergarten through grade five. It has a school council that participates in information and training programs and encourages the participation of parents and others within the school community. The school has a library and media center that offers a collection of books on various topics, including animals, biographies, mysteries, fantasy, humor and adventure. It has a parent-teacher organization that conducts monthly meetings and organizes various events and activities for the overall development of the school. The school s academic curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, special education, language arts, music and health. Blackwell Elementary School is a part of the Elbert County School District and is located in Elberton, Ga.
