- Pediatric CareWe firmly believe that all children and young adults should receive all of the recommended vaccines according to the schedule published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention & the American Academy of Pediatrics.
- Ear InfectionsWe all worry when our child has a fever. Fever is a sign that your child is fighting an infection, which could be viral (like a cold or the flu) or bacterial (like an ear infection or urine infection). Fever reducers are helpful to control the fever.
- Emergency CareFor other after-hour minor emergencies, please call the office to speak with a nurse or pediatrician. They can help you decide if your child needs to be seen right away, or if it can wait until the following morning. If you are sent to the emergency room, please contact us the next day so we can follow-up on treatment and determine if your insurance requires a referral for the ER visit.
- ElectrocardiogramWe have in-office ADHD screening, asthma testing, allergy testing and immunotherapy, EKG screening, basic blood tests, viral screening, Xrays and more!
- ImmunizationsImmunizations are also given at this time. Well-child exams offer the perfect opportunity for you to ask the pediatrician any questions you have. Because we have a limited number of well-child appointments each day, please contact our office to schedule a well-child exam ahead of time.
- AutismAutism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurologic-based disability that affects a child's social skills, communication, and behavior. It occurs in about 1 in 68 children. The number of children reported to have autism has increased since the early 1990s. The increase could be caused by many factors. Many families are more aware of ASD. Pediatricians are doing more screening for ASD, as recommended by the AAP, and children are identified earlier. Also, there have been changes in how ASD is defined and diagnosed. In the past, only children with the most severe autism symptoms were diagnosed. Now children with milder symptoms are being identified and helped.
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)Almost all children have times when their attention or behavior veers out of control. However, for some children, these types of behaviors are more than an occasional problem. Children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD/ADD) have behavior problems that are so frequent and severe that they interfere with their ability to function adequately on a daily basis. These children can face excessive criticism, failure, and disappointment while their parents struggle with what to do.

After becoming a doctor, I completed Residency in General Psychiatry and a Fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at Texas Tech University HSC El Paso. I speak four languages and love traveling, reading, and watching the sunsets over our beautiful El Paso Franklin mountains! My husband and I enjoy spending time with our kids by playing outside, exercising for good health, and trying new foods. The most common health issues I treat are: depression, anxiety, ADHD, autism, bipolar, OCD, behavioral problems, learning problems, and schizophrenia.
