I have been shopping with Hal's now for about 2 years and they have the BEST inventory and very knowledgeable staff there. I have never seen such a well stacked inventory in any hobby shop like this one. Two thumbs up Hal's !!!!!!

I was looking for a particular Guillows kit, which they didn't have and didn't offer to order. Then asked someone for rubber thread for airplane motors. They showed me a couple spools of cracked, completely unusable thread that looked like it was from the 70's (at newest) and said they wouldn't get any new thread in. I was also putting an electric freeflight plane together at the time and looking for a prop and motor. The owner seemed nice, but ended up talking down to me like I didn't know a prop from a rudder. I'm no expert like him, but I have built and flown many rubber-band planes and flew an RC glider for a couple years. He seemed to want me to buy a premade RC plane, but i didn't have the money and wanted to keep it simple at the time. So I ended up buying just a prop and a sheet of balsa. While checking out, the young associate seemed to almost sneer at me and blew off my thanks, turning away quickly(and rudely). I left feeling insulted and irritated. Cool planes though!
