Their initial shop was called Chavez Auto then Evolution Motorsports followed by Evolution/CMS Performance, Inc. They are by far the worst shop in El Paso, Texas with a continuous reputation. They are one of the most incompetent shops in town when it comes to repairs or building a performance engine. If you want to save time along with the headache avoid taking your vehicle here even as a last resort. Over the past several years they've created a bad name for themselves. In my opinion, Gabriel, Priscila, and Chris Chavez shouldn't be in business. They are compulsive liars with crooked business practices. A few people took them to court to settle. Here's a good fact for you "They are not BBB accredited!"

I went there took my Acura they gave me good price for an engine swap , so I agreed it took a little longer then expected but , they did a good job , I recommend to everyone , Gabe did know was talking about. I'm going back add aftermarket parts
Don"t waste your money and time at Evolution Racing with Gabe. I took my 03 mustang gt which i had done some cam work myself and had no problems car was running smooth. He offered me a vortech supercharger kit, install, and custom tuning for 3,000. I'm an El Paso resident born, and raised but I was leaving in Colorado at the time. So I drove my car 600 plus miles to get the work done. My car was running fine and my air conditioner was working. He said it was gonna take a week to get the install done. Guaranteed his parts and labor which may I say are very under qualified. The process which was supposed to take one week prolonged my car stay at his shop an additional six weeks. Worried and concerned about my car I proceeded in continously calling him at his shop and frequent visits my calls went unanswered by him would only get the representatives round about " He is not in, He will be back later". Gabe could not even tune my car.

Don't waste you time. I left my car there for 20 days (a job that should have taken 3). My car dynoed before I brought there 225 whp... I added parts and got it back from them at 198 whp,,,,hmmm doesn't make sense. Not to mention they dented and scratched my vehicle (repeatedly) and were unwilling to compensate me for any of it. The parts I had installed looked horrible. When I picked my car up it died on me 2 in their parking lot. It died on me an additional 10+ times on my way to ANOTHER shop... Yes I had to take it to another shop that recognized right away that I had a vacuum leak and my knock sensor had gone off. Oh yea I forgot to mention that Evolution Racing/Motorsports were unable to figure out why my check engine light was on. The other shop identified it right away. Needless to say they were very unprofessional and not what you would expect for the money you pay. By the way check the better business bureau they are rated an F. Don't do what I did. Find another shop.

If I could rate them lower I would. I just picked my car up after 20 days (what should have taken 3). I had parts installed on my car and they did a horrible job. They didn't take any precaution to keep from damaging the car and were not willing to compensate for anything. My car dynoed 225 whp before I brought there and from them it dynoed 198...NOTE I added additional parts to make more power (power should have been around 260) This shop is unprofessional and do not expect to receive calls updating you on the status of your vehicle. I literally drove from this shop to another, the other shop recognized off the bat that I had a vacuum leak...(BAD) Any reputable shop would have noticed this off the bat. I expressed my concerns to the owner and they only discounted me 100... The shop was unable to provide me an itemized list of work completed or any receipts. Also note that on the way to other shop the car died over 10 times. Bottom line do not use this SHOP. Use Speed Factory
