Cancellation process is tedious and ridiculous. I was told I have to send a form (not available on website) via certified mail to corporate on the other side of town. Hand deliveries aren't accepted. So I have to spend money to cancel. On top of very poor facilites/service/machines/staff.

I've been a member for over 12 years and have been working out at the James Watt gym most of the time. From time to time I go to the McRae gym. I notice that the McRae gym has had their equipment updated twice with new treadmills and now with the new eliptical yet the James Watt gym is still with the old treadmills! They did put down new rubber flooring but it was not installed very well. Plus the parking lot needs the lines between parking spaces painted. When it's dark out you can't see if you parked in the right space!

I have been a member of EP Fitness for the last 3 years and only because they are largest chain in El Paso. The free weight areas at both James Watt and Montwood locations have never been organized, very difficult to find a pair of matching without walking around the entire area. The are also missing the weight identification tags so you have to guess at the weight you are using. The machines have been in much better shape in the past. Now a days the elevation and resistance buttons do not work on about half of the machines, so you will find yourself moving from one machine to another if you really have a specific workout you want to accomplish. The heart rate telemetry handles are also non-functional on 50% of the aforementioned equipment.EP Fitness has severely declined in the amount of attention they pay to their equipment. I would not recommend this gym to anyone. Look for a gym with well maintained equipment and management that cares about their service!
