- Dental CareWe are pleased to provide the most up-to-date dental equipment, including digital x-rays, for treating dental illness. This allows us to identify diseases in the gum line that we would otherwise miss. Dental radiographs are frequently useful in detecting abscesses, fractured teeth, resorbed roots, retained roots, and other unseen conditions.
- VaccinationSet up your pet’s first visit with us as soon after adoption as possible. It is critical to get your new puppy or kitten adequately vaccinated and checked to ensure that it is healthy and ready to stay that way. We’ll create a personalized care plan, including vaccinations and maintenance recommendations based on your needs.

- Comprehensive ExaminationEarly detection of any disease is vital when treating it. This is why we recommend routine wellness exams and bloodwork for our clients.
- Parasites Treatment and ControlMany things can carry internal parasite eggs, and puppies and kittens eat or sniff at them. It’s critical to check your puppy or kitten for intestinal worms and give appropriate medications as prescribed.

- Leptospirosis TreatmentIf there were 6 stars, that’s what I’d give Abbey Pet Hospital and most especially Dr. Jennie Kim. The staff is wonderful too – helpful, friendly and very very caring. Dr. Kim quite literally saved our beloved dogs life. We thought we were going to lose our darling cane corso pit mix, Othello to leptospirosis. But Dr. Kim wouldn’t have it – it took a month but with her tenacity, Othello now has a clean bill of health. My husband and I are so very grateful. Oh, and I forgot to say, Othello loves going to Abbey Pet Hosp now and he adores Dr. Kim. We couldn’t be happier.
- Heart Disease TreatmentAs a 25 year client of Abbey Pet hospital with 6 dogs, and 6 birds, I am very happy with the care my animals have received. My current dog, a rat terrier with a heart murmur has been treated very well. She has bounced back with medication, seems to be content and enjoying her life. She surpassed the normal one year average life span of dogs with her condition. (congestive heart failure).I owe Abbey Pet hospital, Dr. Judd, the other two vets who treated her at different times for her continuing her life. All the staff, animal technicians, assistants, receptionists and other support for showing her nothing but, love. I am grateful to everyone. I can’t thank you all enough.
- Periodontal Disease TreatmentMaintaining good dental health and a regular cleaning schedule will help your pet’s mouth, and teeth stay healthy. Periodontal disease develops over time in most pets because they don’t get their teeth brushed as often as humans do.
- Wound and Fracture CareDr. Jennie Kim joined the APH team in 2018. She originally hails from the Midwest and was born and raised in the Chicago area. After graduation, she enrolled in a post-baccalaureate program at the University of Pennsylvania and graduated from their veterinary school in 2008. She completed a rigorous internship at a busy emergency and referral practice in Brooklyn, NY. After several years of practice as an emergency veterinarian, she transitioned into general practice. Her veterinary interests include emergency medicine, wound care, and feline medicine. Outside of work, Jennie enjoys spending time with her family, eating, and running.

- Laboratory ServicesBlood work and urinalysis are used for various reasons, including diagnosing disease and assessing your pet’s health. Tests will assess your pet’s organ functions and provide a better picture of their general health, including any issues that may go undetected during a physical examination. When your pet is healthy, obtaining baseline bloodwork and taking a urine sample allows you to compare results. Regular testing also helps spot potential problems before they become serious by enabling you to monitor changes over time.

- GroomingAbbey Pet Hospital has been an independent, locally-owned business since it was founded in 1958 by Dr. Linton. Before Dr. Linton, the business was run as a pet grooming salon. Abbey Pet Hospital moved to its present location in the 1970s when Dr. Linton needed more space. In 1983, Dr. Lee Prutton purchased Abbey Pet Hospital; he then built the practice from a small one-doctor operation into a three-doctor hospital and boarding facility. Dr. Judd joined the practice in 2011 and purchased the business upon Dr. Prutton’s retirement in January 2016.
