Located in Edwardsport, Ind., North Knox East Elementary & Junior High School was rebuilt in 1958 after a fire destroyed the original building. It serves more than 550 students in grades kindergarten through eight. The school is affiliated with the North Knox School Corporation. Its elementary students attend North Knox East from the northern part of the district. The school offers a wide range of subjects, including English, language arts, physics, chemistry, biology, world history and geography, mathematics, algebra, calculus, trigonometry, geometry, and health and physical education. It also provides a variety of extracurricular activities, such as science fair, geography bowl, kindergarten bug museum, student council, music ensemble and band. In addition, North Knox East Elementary & Junior High School organizes various field trips that include the visits to the fire station and the pumpkin patch.
