General Info
An expert in in both musculoskeletal ultrasound and sports medicine, Dr. Scott Waugh started using orthobiologics for his patients in 2010. "It was a natural progression, really," he says. "Once I could see injuries and problems in real-time with ultrasound, I started looking for therapies that I could use to treat my patients in the office. I gradually added needle tenotomy, nerve hydrodissection and biologics to my tool kit and have never looked back or regretted that decision." He is a board-certified family practice physician with added qualifications in primary care sports medicine and musculoskeletal ultrasound. He is a graduate of Baylor University and the University of Oklahoma, where he completed the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship Program and went on to continue practicing sports medicine. Dr. Waugh specializes in finding conservative, non-surgical treatments for orthopedic conditions of all types. As a veteran in the field of sports medicine, he has been heavily involved in the management of sports and orthopedic injuries from concussion management to sprains and fractures. He has been proudly caring for patients in the north Oklahoma City and Edmond areas since 2007. Credentialed by APCA in musculoskeletal ultrasound since 2013, Dr. Waugh teaches these skills to residents and sports medicine fellows each year at the University of Oklahoma and with MSKUS.com all over the United States and sometimes internationally. These faculty positions have been held since 2009 and 2011 respectively. These skills and relationships with other renowned providers all over the world have helped shape Dr. Waugh's practice of medicine and orthobiologics and have helped set him apart as one of the nation's most advanced sports medicine and non-surgical orthopedic physicians in the country.

Dr. Waugh has a very good and broad skill set. I was very comfortable in explaining my severe complications from brown recluse bite. He was very good at explaining an injection therapy for my resulting nerve pain. Ten out of ten experience.

I have been a patient of Dr. Waugh's for a few years. I have never had a bad experience in this office or a negative encounter with any one here. Dr. Waugh is always willing to listen and explains things thoroughly. I may come into the office with concerns, but by the time I have left, they have been diminished. Chris is absolutely wonderful as well, along with everyone else in this office. Very professional but still incredibly friendly. I have only positive things to say about everyone here.
I’m so thankful Dr. Waugh was recommended to me. His approach is refreshing and truly eliminated the knee pain I was having. I’m going to have to have a knee replacement at some point in my future, but he definitely prolonged it and helped me to get back out on the tennis court!
